At our family’s Rafter 9 Ranch, we take pride in raising Angus beef sustainably as highlighted in the attached “Beef Sustainability Facts” infographic. Caring for the land is extremely important to us as a multigenerational ranch.
Our cattle play a key role by enriching the soil through carbon sequestration from their manure fertilizing the pastures. Their grazing helps reduce food waste by upcycling inedible plant resources into high-quality protein.
We carefully steward resources like water, contributing to the 29% less water used by the U.S. beef industry since 1993 (see infographic). Our open ranchlands provide recreation opportunities while protecting wildlife habitats.
Sustainability guides our practices for enriching the soil, protecting resources, preventing waste, and nurturing the land for the future. We’ll continue this sustainable ranching journey.
